Are we talking just the school or the HP universe as a whole?
If just the School; honestly, not much. For all of her faults (and she has a LOT as a storyteller), Hogwarts is a well made place of wonder. The only real big change I’d make would be about the Houses. (and that will be elaborated on in the next part)
If it is the entire Potterverse; I’d change a lot. Surprisingly, like Hogwarts, the Potterverse has a very solid foundation. It’s just when you get to the details does it becomes shit. The first two things I’d gut and start over with; the “Hidden Magical World” bullshit and the way the Houses are done and handled.
By getting rid of the Hidden World (as much as I love stuff like SCP and Secret World stuff) it’s rather cliché. Outside of superhero stuff, rarely do we have Stories with magical stuff taking place in the day to day world. While yes Arthur’s misunderstanding of simple muggle things is sweet and adorable, I’d rather see a world where Harry is dealing with a much larger world where his success or failure would have world changing effects.
The Houses. God where do I start. I loathe the whole Good/Good/Good/EVIL thing that are the current houses. I’d rather it be more individual interpretation and good/evil.
Honestly, IBO was a hard couple seasons to watch for me. It’s like they took the ideas from Gundam 00 and sucked all the joy out of it. As to Mikazuki, I really wasn’t a fan of the character. He was kinda unlikeable and stuff. That’s not to say he didn’t show any growth, because he did, and by the end he had changed a bit, he just wasn’t my favorite Gundam protagonist.
10 Reasons why Gabby is the greatest thing to happen to wolverine comics ever!!!!
The Adorable Honey Badger is like the best and cutest little stab monster ever.
Also, I’ll just like to point out that Daken would fight, kill, and die for her. You know, Daken, the sociopathic murder machine of a son of Wolverine. *THAT* Daken. It was also he who named her Honey Badger.
Someone asked on Quora, who my favorite sidekick ever was…
I’ve voted in every single election since I’ve become a citizen with voting rights. Even voted in that one when the town was still recovering from Hurricane Sandy. This year, like every year, has monumental consequences for immigrants like me. Always vote like lives depend on it.
