Hm, it’s kind of curious that Gotham is entering its final season right when Batwoman’s solo show is meant to be debuting. Maybe this means that Kate Kane’s show will morph into the Official Live-Action Batperson show, with new versions of the characters from Gotham making an appearance?

Like a version of Renee Montoya who isn’t entirely wasted, for example?

Yeah, whatever points Gotham got for introducing Renee in their first season they immediately lost by turning her from a good cop (with anger issues) into Barbara Kean’s jealous ex-girlfriend… only to abrupt disappear after hooking up with Barb, then dumping her again ‘cause Renee realised Barbara triggers Renee’s own substance addiction issues.

Having Renee in a show as an out lesbian Latina cop: Good.

Having Renee harass Jim Gordon (the main protagonist) purely on the basis that he’s dating her ex and MIGHT be corrupt, making her look spiteful and jealous?: Not great.

I don’t know, maybe we’ll get Renee 2.0 in Batwoman, that’d be neat.

I really hope we do get Renee in this show!

And I hope that they actually cast a latina actress to play her ❤

Opinion | Intersex, and Erased Again

One of my $100 regulars gave me options for this month, I hope my (and @bulbuttsaur’s) Star Wars OC.

My OC is Lady Dolorem, a Zabrak Dark Side Force user (tho not Sith) from the Fall of the Republic/Imperial era. She was a Padawan that was betrayed by her Master and the Order prior to Order 66. She grew up angry and bitter.

@bulbuttsaur’s OC is Monster, a Zeltron with frightening levels of power. It was kept as a pit fighter in the palace of a Hutt crime lord, until Dolorem took her in a deal with the Hutt. Dolorem has raised it over the past few years, training and honing its skills to become a devastating weapon.

We’re working on cosplays for the pair. I’m hoping to have everything done by next Halloween.
