Republicans: Felons should NEVER regain the right to vote. Got a felony for pot possession when you were 21? Fuck off. If you can’t follow the law, you don’t get to vote on the law.
Also Republicans: I mean, even if Kavanaugh IS an attempted rapist who drank underage in high school, whatever. It’s not disqualifying even if its true. I still think he should serve a LIFETIME POSITION ON THE SUPREME COURT.
Not only that, but he perjured himself 3 separate times in front of the Senate, first during his confirmation when Bush nominated him to the DC court, again during his SCOTUS hearing, and then again this past week.
Perjury is, wait for it, a felony.

Yeah in a lot of places in the USA any felony charge loses you the right to vote. It’s called felony disenfranchisement

Disclaimer: This is just my personal opinion, and I’m not saying others can’t like her, or am I judging her fans.
Now, that out of the way, I just didn’t like the face she put forward. That “teehee, I’m not like other girls, because I’m a geek!” persona, just rubbed me wrong. Mostly because it fed into the narrative that trilby wearing asshats love to spout, that “normal women” can’t be geeks, you have to be the perky, quirky flavor of the month.
On top of that, just the universal “Queen of Nerds” role that everyone put on her for her 15 minutes of fame bugged me too, which lead to shit like her being shoehorned into Dragon Age 2. I wouldn’t have minded if she were just voicing a character and y’know, acting. No, her character was literally just her with pointed ears (which completely went against the Elven redesign in DA2).
I don’t hate her. Because she didn’t do anything wrong, I’m just not a fan of her work.
Mostly because American superhero comics have told one (mostly) uninterrupted storyline for 70+ years. Granted, DC tends to try to reboot and fix continuity with big events, versus Marvel’s more “adjustment via retcons”.
Also, the more recent problem is this weird mix of under and over editorial interference. Sometimes the editors will strangle creators with unnecessary stories and events or with other creators *coughBendisMillarcough* either way, they will ignore continuity, which requires retcons to repair.
