Another chapter of Tumblr hypocrisy

So, there’s been rumors that Elizabeth Olsen may be in talks to play Wanda Lensherr in Avengers 2. Then suddenly cries of “white-washing!” has appeared. I saw one rant about how Romani aren’t white (which is amusing since ethnic Romani are from the Caucasian Mountain region of Eastern Europe).

What really set me off was the hypocrisy, the same people that were bitching that a “Blonde haired, blue eyed white girl” was being cast as a half-Romani girl, are the ones who finger themselves over Jennifer Lawrence (a blonde haired, blue eyed white girl) as Katniss Everdeen, who is described as a woman of color in the books.

Way to keep it consistent and classy.
